There are no prices on the website...with the RE8 folks, you have to call them up and talk to a live person...which is kinda nice, really...you ask your questions, you get answers...you talk to a person who gives you the impression that he really gives a s*%^ about you and wants to help...
I paid, if I recall correctly, between $50 and $60 each...I got 2 and hooked them up to run in stereo...rather than pump a lot of power into them running mono...
I don;t know how they sound relative to the Assissins...
But if you do some searching on the various RE speakers, RE8, RE10, RE12 on this forum, you will find LOTS of VERY positive comments...
One guy has a video of 8 RE8's pounding out a very low frequency tone...I think around 20 cps or so...and in the video it looks like the cones are moving 1-2"...
It's pretty awsome...this video was posted, around a year or more ago...
If you are looking for a good, solid 8"...I really don't think you'll be dissapointed...
