Also they may use different radios in Hyundai's or other cars overseas when compared to what we get here. According to my source who works at Hyundai at a dealership in Illinois he said yep that is a Hyundai radio but he guessed at what model and said he wasn't sure..so take that for what it is. But he said also overseas can get different stock oem stuff then we do he has seen it before.

Beyond the possibility of the stereo is locked to the original car, you could have a unit that was replaced because it was broken.

Why are you trying to use this unit? Aftermarket double din stereos are cheap.

That did not even cross my mind. And I also found it odd that Hyundai would not brand their equipment. Different rules overseas I gather.
