Nothing Is Promised
My buddy just got a 2001 1500 Ram single cab. We're looking around for the system but our only problem is the enclosure for the sub(s) without spending a crap load.

I've made a few small scale fiberglass enclosures but I don't think he wants to go that route so I have no idea.

Anyone built or have plans for single cab Rams?

One or two 10's. I'd like to make it ported but if we go that route we will probably have to end up with one 10 so i don't know.

Preferably something shallow mount. Like Pioneer, MB Quart, Kicker or something. Other brands I'm looking at Infinity/JBL, Alpine (Type R).

I've got a 99 Dodge 1500 regular cab too and it wasn't hard for me to fit a single 12 behind the seats. I made the box myself so everything is to the tightest tolerences without hitting anything. I've got one Bl 12 running on a Powerbass ASA1500.1. All 4 gauge (going to be changed do 1/0 sometime soon), and I've turned heads everywhere I go. This thing gets low and nasty, but still hits the highs pretty good. The box is 2.4 cubes tuned to about 30 hz with one 3" aero port. I know I need a bigger port, but that is the biggest I can fit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif But I am still 110% happy with the way everything turned out:D:D and how it sounds. My personal best with this setup is a 136.8 at 44hz sealed up.

And here's a couple short video. I need to get some new video since I installed my new headunit about a month ago. You can see the new deck in the second video. It's a big upgrade from my Alpine 9827. It's a Pioneer Premier UB690 btw.

BigBud, that box is sick! Great job on it!

So the passenger seat is pushed forward just a little bit?

Im trying to work out a nice set up for my 1st gen regular cab & thats one of the slickest ive seen

Question, what about doing the box sealed instead of running a too small port?

The box is around 2.3-2.4 cubes before displacements. I think mine turned out to be 1.8 after sub and port displacement. With is tuned to 30 hz it absolutely pounds the lows, I just wish I had a bigger port, but that's the biggest you can possibly put in that position unless you made the box come out further in the middle where you couldn't fold up your arm rest (mine can still fold up). I'm thinking about doing full molded fiberglass box and put one 6" aero in for a port since I've got access to one. And yes, the passenger seat is only up a couple of notches, which is hardly anything, and I can still sit comfortably in that seat (I'm 6'3"). If you want the plans to the box pm me and we'll work something out.
