help with ports

say i have a old school 15 inch stroker and a 4 cuft box and wanted to add port/ports what should i do? I would like it to be roughly 32hz tuning. on the port length calculators if you put in 2 ports, the answer it gives is that for each or half for each? example 16 apeice or 8 apeice?

Each port would be 16", not divided by 2.

What kind of port do you want to use?

Your box might be kinda small after port displacement if its 4 cubes now with no port.

Just depends on the application. Box size on it's own doesn't affect the amount of port needed. If you have the power to push a sub to it's limits in a 3ft^3 box as well as a 4.5ft^3 box, you're not going to "need" a larger port for the larger box. The amount of port area needed to best avoid port noise is based on the displacement potential of the sub within the application it's being used.

Assuming you'll have 2-2.5" of excursion, you can probably get by with that if you flare it, but I wouldn't do it unless it's flared.

Yeah, I was gonna make a former, and I've got a butane torch and i'll just heat the PVC up with that. Would a 9" (63.6sq") be a better choice? I'm really trying to focus on low end extension.

9" would be a better choice in my opinion.
