Help with new tweeter install

Currently I have the tweeters that came with my comp set (in sig). I got a new set of VERY high end eclipse tweets, but they are bigger (round wise) and longer (about an inch from top to bottom). these tweets are monsters. They are to small to fit in the hold where my current tweets are once i take out the housing for my other tweeters, but to big to fit in the housing to properly mount them. any ideas on how i can mount them? ill get pics tomorrow sometimes, show you both sets of tweeters and the hole im working with. but for now give me some suggestions. these tweeters i have now, the new ones i mean.. have nothing to mount them in. no housing like other sets. so even if i re mount them in the door somewhere ill still have a problem keeping them in place, unless i gorilla glue the backside to the door.

so, lets see how good you are with troubleshooting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif let the games begin

so you are saying these tweeters are smaller in diameter than the hole that you have drilled?
yes these tweeters are smaller than the hole. but the other set i used had a plastic mount for the tweeters to fit into. so i cut the hole to fit the plastic mounting, then the tweeters slide into that and are held in. but the new tweeters are to big for this plastic mount, and to small for the hole itself.

bump. need help. wanna get this installed tomorrow while my car is torn apart (fixing body damage). itll be much easier to do with all my interior yanked out

What sort of panels are these. Pics would most certainly help for sure. How would you mount these tweeters if you had the proper sized hole? It sounds like they are just simple tweeters with no real way of mounting them.

If they are just mounted in a simple small sail panel piece or something maybe you could fiberglass over it, sand and smooth and rebuild them then drill out the smaller hole that you need. Or maybe bend up something out of some abs plastic or so to epoxy the tweeters to centered and fit into the hole you have, add some grill cloth to the hole from the backside or something and hide the tweeters in the bigger hole. /shrug just some ideas, but Pics would make it much easier.
