Help with Kenwood MASK?????

Evening, as you can see i am new here and based over in Blighty and in need of some help with a recent purchase.

I have bought a second hand Kenwood KDC-MP6090R with D Mask facility, it arrived today complete with ISO connector, fascia trim and aerial conection. I have purchased the loom to connect the ISO loom into the back of the unit and nothing..........................

Press 'SRC' button briefly nothing, press and hold 'SRC' button nothing press any buttons and nothing happens. When i first plugged it in i could hear the CD motor inside whirring around so presumably there is power going to it??

I just need some pointers on what to check and how i can get it working??
