help with jeep grand cherooke infinity system

Actually, you are going about this totally wrong....

the reason the speakers blew so quickly, was because you replaced a 2 ohm speaker with a 4 ohm speaker...

because of this the factory amp is putting out half the power it normally would, therefore you have to turn it up even louder to get your volume out of it...thus you blow the speaker...

if you have an aftermarket head unit installed...then you need to bypass the factory amp... or else every set of speakers you install in the vehicle is going to sound horrible...

maybe you forgot the passive crossover on the tweeters...i've replaced the dash speakers before with tweeters and they work fine...any tweeter will blow with in two days with no crossover...the original speaker is a mid...if you need a set of cheap replacement tweeters that sound good...pm me for info...
