Actually, you are going about this totally wrong....
the reason the speakers blew so quickly, was because you replaced a 2 ohm speaker with a 4 ohm speaker...
because of this the factory amp is putting out half the power it normally would, therefore you have to turn it up even louder to get your volume out of it...thus you blow the speaker...
if you have an aftermarket head unit installed...then you need to bypass the factory amp... or else every set of speakers you install in the vehicle is going to sound horrible...
