help with idmax

i bought an IDMAX12D2 V3 about a week and a half ago. i put it in parrallel but only gave it half gain so around 500-550 rms, it sits in a 1.5 cu.ft box, sealed well tonight i am going to a local hangout and my sub goes dead, check amp and them pull my dmm and check sub and it shows nothing. get home, pull sub and the tinsel lead on one side broke. bought it from an ID dealer but what do i do? how long will it take? i have heard it takes awhile, but why would it do that to me? help me please. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

either solder it or send it in for repair and wait however long it takes
