Help with H/U..

what do you guys thinkin about putin a Memphis PRD 1000.1 on the each of em?
Orrr, a JL 1/1000 on the each of em?

Help me out, I dont kno shit lol
i'm guessing you are not a budget. Why would you waste your money on a JL 1000.1 when you can get some good quality amps for 1/2 of that price? I would just get one mono amp that does at least 2000 watts rms.

x2

And I would pick the JL amp over the PR series if you do go that route.

Plenty I would say. You should be able to find a good mono amp that does 2000rms for that.

Hopefully someone will chime in on what you should buy.

Look into that audioque.

hm...I think anything over 1000rms typically needs some form of upgrade. Definately the Big 3. which you can search for details on there's a sticky of it somewhere.

Also depends on the battery you have now and what amp alternator you have factory.

with a typical 1500 watt setup you will experience significant voltage drops, as much as 1.5 volts possibly, so yes you need a new alternator that is at least 140 amps. I'm guessing your alternator is between 75-95 amps, correct.

Well the car I have-the lights dim like a mother ****er. But Ima be goin home and gettin a Ford Fusion ina couple days. They'll prolly dim on that also. I have no clue about the alternator.

So maybe spend 400 on amp and like 150 ona new alternator?

Ford Fusion will probably have 85-95a alt.

So I would look into a upgrade on that.

Man I'm glad I only have 800w system. lol.

you'll need about 250 for the alternator to be honest.
