Is the eclipese cd3200 a high quality radio?

I've been looking at the eclipse cd3200 and was wondering if any body had one. is it a high quality cd player? How's it compare to high end kenwood or even JVC? thanks in advance.
kenwood and JVC are not high end (more like overpriced crap), same goes for sony (which is what I use //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif). Eclipse is a middle of the road kind of deal from what I have heard.

IMO, you are wrong. Sony sucks, dont buy anything from them. The upper end JVC's seem mad nice, kenwood always makes a nice unit, just go for the excelon line.

As for eclipse, except for their menus and interface, they are really really good head units

Eclipse has some very nice decks. They've managed to maintain quality and pricing through the years, while everyone else has been charging more and providing the consumer with a lesser quality product.

I've used everything the old school 8443's to their 3403's to the cd1000 to cd7100. All of them were quality decks that never let me down.

the cd3200 deck has a 24bit, 5volt preout which make it worth the while compared to alpine, kenwood,Jvc,or most decks around the price point.

I have an old cd5435,5volts deck which i use now compared to some of alpines which have 2volts.

The volts & bit rate makes the biggest difference in the sound quality of the play back from a CD, but a if your'e going to with a I-pod then it wont matter much as with MP3 mostly sound a like to me.

Im running a CD3100 in my system and am very pleased with it. The CD section is crystal clear the pre out are pretty hot had to turn my gains down quite a bit. Interface on the unit is nice works with a ipod with adapter and its not a fm transmitter.

Awesome deck! 3200 might be something I get as well and for the money of the 3200 is hard to beat.

Kenwood excelons are awesome decks as well. I don't know what that one kid is talking about crap. Seems he has no clue what he is talking about.

I would snag up the Eclispe though.

I have owned the Excelon X689 I think...about 2 years ago...switched to the Eclipse CD3100 I think and was disappointed in the SQ compared to the Excelon. I also ran a Alpine CDA9886, JVC Arsenal series, Sony's, and the Pioneer high end units.....I would rate them like this:

Alpine CDA9886

Excelon X792 (currently)

Eclipse or Pioneer (*sound about the same to me)

JVC- sounded like complete shit as did the Sony.

Just my OPINION on what sounded good to me.

THESE ARE UNITS I PERSONALLY HAVE USED IN MY VEHICLES.
