Help with first system please!

Hey guys,

I'm really pretty new to the car audio scene, im more of a performance guy myself. But I love music and I've caught the car audio bug! I'm hoping to put a sound system in my 2003 BMW M3. I was wondering if you guys could make some reccomendations.

First of all, I listen to mainly rap, I'm looking for a system with lots of clarity as well as lots of pumping bass. I don't want the bass to overpower the speakers so its all just BOOOM BOOM BOOM, I want a complete package that sounds good. Heres what a car audio shop reccomended me:

JL XR525 CSI's for the front

JL Clean Sweep

The E6450 Amp which is 6 channels 45x6

XR525 CXI for the rear

A JL 12W3v3

Is the sub going to be underpowered? Are the speakers going to be underpowered? I want hard hitting bass and clear sound, will this be enuff? Thanks guys!

eek i wouldn't grab a 6 channel, grab a mono for the sub an 4 channel for the speakers/components

The sub is going to be put in a custom fiberglass "magic box" which I'm really excited about.

id say go straight with the w7;reason; crystal clear bass @ high output--with 1000/1amplifier!

edit*as for speakers.. i have no clue bout' JL's speakers system never heard never seen one...

Thanks for the quick responses guys! SQbubble, thanks a lot I love M3's! If I were to go with a W7, could I power it with a 500:1? I Dont think I Can afford a 1000:1

well considering the 500/1 puts out around 733rms @2ohm;

if u REALLY cant afford 1000/1...

than I would go with either 10w7 or 13w6 with the 500/1!

i've never heard those 2..., ive heard 12w6 with 300rms on it.. and i dindt really liked it.. it doesnt sound whole , im sure its cuz of underpowering it, I think 13w6 with ~730rms would sound very good!

for w7, ive heard 12w7 with 1000/1, all i can say is WOW, CRAZY output and still sound CRYSTAL CLEAR, hits very hard, enough SPL, considering this, i dont know if 2inch smaller would change lot of effect..

1st choice:12w7 with 1000/1

2nd choice:10w7 with 500/1

3rd choice:13w6 with 500/1

lets hope someone else pops in and give more suggestions

I Dont think I can really afford to go to a W7 or a W6 right now unfortenately, However, I still think I would like to get a mono amp to power the 12W3v3, any reccomendations? Also, what amp would you guys suggest to power those speakers instead of the E6450? thanks!
