Help with external crossover mode

Ok i have a external crossover and it has two modes stereo and mono. In the booklet it says stereo mode is 12 db slope crossover and mono is 24 db slopes which one should i use to give me the best result for my amp which powers the sub and whats the big difference?

External crossover....what do you mean? External of what? I assume you mean active crossover.

Who makes this crossover?
