Help with equipment selection

HI,

It's been a while since I've been here. Screen name is not right-

I now own a Hummer H2- which is what this install thread will be about.

I'm looking at a Pioneer Avic Z110BT for my head unit. It's quick... and that's what matters to me.

For sound I need some advice-

My goal is a very well balanced system. I don't want bass heavy anymore, been there done that. Now, with that said, I do want some "punch"... just want it balanced is all.

I want to be able to listen to rock, rap, country, pop, etc and have it all sound clean clean clean. SQ for sure...

The amp will be a JL HD 900/5.

I'm stuck on the speaker. 10w7, 12 w6v2, or 10w6v2? Why?

Enclosure will be sealed. Most likely a JL pre-fab box.

I'm only using one speaker, not two.

Front and rear speakers- have no idea-- Focal, JL, ???

Just want a well rounded SQ system that doesn't get me the middle finger or the thumbs up if you know what I mean.

JL is quality, but not the best you can get for the money, IMO

Thanks.... I'm aware of this. But I know JL, I've used JL, and I'm comfortable with JL. It's, like you said, quality...

Any other advice in regards to my questions?

I am willing to veer from JL on everything but the sub and amp.

12w6 even a w7 would do, a nice focal front stage would do or just stick with all JL

No 10" huh?

i was reading that a 10" would better blend in with the front stage.

The 900/5 would powef a 10 or 12 w6 plenty, but would just barely power the 10w7 and wont power the 1000/1.
