This will not hurt the amplifier as you are not using those bad ch. It will not operate anyways, but you can still use that amp on any good working ch.Ive ran a 4 ch bridged on a good two ch with two burnt out 2 ch for years and still works just fine today on that same two ch.. Ran a pair of 10s at 2 ohmYou may have a bad coil on a sub or one ch bad on your amp possibly. If subs read fine and one of the ch are bad on the amp, You stillhave that option to wire to 2 ohm on the two good ch on the amp to run the subs
Could have a bad connector as well. You can bypass that and wire direct. Ive had some cheesy push connectors go bad before/ no longer made contact/broke/ flimsy aluminumAll connections were fine
https://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=41#resultsMy subs are fine. And yes it's seeming like one channel on the amp is bad. My amp is only two channels. So how would I wire the amp off one channel for both of my subs to work without being damaged. Sub And amp specs are in earlier posts.
Alright will try this for now. But I'd like to know a surefire way of telling if this amp is bad so I can get a new one or find a way to salvage what I have.https://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=41#resultsYou will wire to a 2 ohm load on the good ch.,,
