Help with Damaged JL Audio 8W7

So i bought this 8W7 from this guy and he claimed it was in perfect working condition. When i fired it up, it made this funny buzzing sound so i knew something was wrong. I opened it up and it seems like the spider was ripped and he tried to glue it back together. I've attached a few pictures, let me know what you guys think. Thanks

Yep thats a problem . Id say get some good Ca glue and try to make it work . I that doesn't work then besides a recone (which is a ridiculous price from jl) I think your out of luck.

Yeah you're right s1ctech. This is the second time i've had problems with a W7. I dunno if people are abusing them more so then others, but i havn't had luck with them. I was on DIYCarAudio and another member informed me that it would run around 200+ to have it refurb just in case someone in the future was wondering. Word of caution, becareful when purchasing used items.

Ask for a refund from the seller. I would be pissed. The seller might have claimed that it was in working condition, but the sub clearly is damaged. That looks like a difficult repair. You might be able to use some sort of super glue, but who knows how that would hold up and how the extra weight will affect sound quality.

**** dude that **** needs to be reconed and i know how it fells to get ripped of i got a Orion hcca that had a broken magnet and when i tried it out with was lock up and the guy took off with my subs
