help with crossovers

hi everyone

i¡'m new at this so please be patient

i have a jetta A4 and i'm planning to install a 2 way set of speakers (FOCAL) K2P

and my questions is where do i put the crossver?? can i put it in the trunk or do i have to put it inside the front doors? some people tell me that i's better inside the door beacuse it have so much fidelity so please help me

Don't put them in the doors because of potential water damage, the doors are constantly being shut and that could rattle a component loose on the crossover plus you cannot adjsut them from inside the doors.

No doubt, inside of the door is one of the worst possible areas to mount them. Other areas to consider are under the front seats or dash area.

Um... I'd say otherwise, you can put xovers anywhere that'd you please. If you put xovers on the otherside of the protective plastic, of course they are going to get wet. Be smart about it. And as far as it being the rattle sh!t out of.... I don't think 6 1/2's can create that much resonance as a 12" would. You'll be fine having it in doors. Otherwise, xovers can go anywhere that they want.
