help with box ?

I have a box plan for a Sundown Audio SA-8 it is .8cf at 35Hz after displasemt my ?'s are my port is 1.75" wide and it is 1.75" from the back of the box shud I take some sand paper to the end of the port and round it over a bit and my sub is onely 1.5" from the back of the port wall will this be ok

What port material are you using?

I did something similar to this

it is .75 mdf the port is 28.25" long and the box is onely 30" wide
