help with box

I have a 95 astro van and alot of space, 1 15" mt, probly throw 2-3kw at it, but only one sheet of 3/4 mdf board that I will work with. I want it to get loud but the lows got to have some power too meaning I want a little sq but not much. I listen to rap and rock so what would best the best airspace and tuning for this box?

depends, do you plan on making a slot port box or would you use aeroports? then 1 sheet is plenty, you'll just have to get the aeroport(s) (which are about as much as a sheet of mdf when you get to the 4" ones). I'd say do 3.5cu.ft. tuned to 33Hz personally, but you have lotsa space and can go much bigger

Yeah I was thinkin of probly 4 cubes but I dont know if I have enough mdf though. Maybe I would tune to 32 but not really sure bout the tuning though.

Im not really trying to spend too much for the box, 45 a sheet im good. I could get some scraps, Im hoping that they would be big enough. After that Im going to throw a head unit in the glove box so im spending my money on other shit.

where does mDf cost 45 a sheet???? everywhere here (lowes, home depot) has mdf $22 a sheet tops. Besides, 45 is still better than 2-300 from a retail shop. if you do it right, its worth 45 for a box

**** im going there then and save my money because I need it. This is going to be the first box I make and I want it to be perfect. I know how to do alot of other shit but boxes are new to me.

1st box is rarely even close to perfect. Just take your time with it and it'll turn out nice.

Thats what im thinking, Im going to try my best and hope it turns out good. I worked with alot of wood before and working on houses and shit so it wouldnt be a problem as I see it.
