when i put a 4 ga wire from alternator 2 + on batery do i put a fuse and if i do what size and what else 2 do help

You can if you want to.

What size is the alternator? i.e., how many amps does it put out, or if you dont know, what car is it in, maybe someone else does.

It is recomended by( http://forum.sounddomain.com/forum/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=007801 ) that you fuse it, to prevent a surge of power reaching the battery and causing it to possibly blow up.

1. Alt to battery +

2. Battery Negative to chasis

3. Alt - to chasis (alt negative is any bolt that holds it on)
