help with an amp for 6 infinity 6000cs

my brother is still having problems, he has a rockforf p8004 amp 4x100 at 4 ohms, i told him he needs to wire it different but he refuses not to, is there a one ohm amp i can find that would work? also he is trying that rockford amp and there is a bunch of static, like radio static for cds, the ground is good and he never had that problem before, anyone know why?

how about going more in depth... I have no idea when you say: "my borther is till having problems".... problems with what? and then you randomly are getting static from a RF amp... and you need a one ohm stable amp? ~confused~

k first, he has 6 infinity 6000cs 6.5 speakers hooked up to a rockforg p8004 which i think is 100x4, and he has them hooked up weird, some one on here figured it out they run at 1.34 ohms or something, and he keeps trying 4 ohm amps, they work for a while then shut off, any ways he hooked that RF amp up and there is a crap load of static, like radio static, but on cds, thats problem one

prob 2 is he needs an amp, should i try a one ohm amp or maybe 2 ohm at like 400x2 cuz he has it where all 6 speakers are hooked up to 2 sets of wires, also its in a boat

Okay - for starters Infinity's 6000cs is a component set. Is your brother only using the midwoofers and not the crossovers or the tweeters?

The P8004 is a 4-channel amp, right? The best way that I could see to hook those speakers to that amp would be two of them run @ 4 Ohm off of two amp channel and the other four hooked up in parallel-wired pairs running @ 2 Ohms off of the remaining two amp channels. Set the gains conservatively and all should be well.

But I'm still wondering about the crossovers and/or the tweeters from those sets...where'd they go?

just the speakers, no tweets/xovers, he is too f'n lazy to wire it different, he just wants to know why theres static and if he can just buy a 1 ohm amp at around 400 wrms?
