help with amp...

I just bought an MA HK1000D but when i hooked it up, the power light only stayed on for about 15 seconds then slowly dimmed out to nothing. should i be running 1/0 gage wiring?

Were the speakers connected when this happened? What ohm are they and were they wired series/parallel? What size is the power cable? What is the voltage at the amp? Sounds defective to me, or maybe a bad connection, low remote wire voltage, low battery voltage.

I tired them with and without the speaker, im running it at 1 ohm and the amp is 1 ohm stable wired paralled, the power cable is only 4 gauge(thinkin thats the problem), and 2k watts 1k rms

It should still work fine with 4 gauge. The problem is something else. Maybe a bad remote signal or bad amp.

bad ground.check it. my 1100 d is on 4 ga that is not the problem
