Help with a head unit

Hi, I need help with a head unit, i own a Pontiac Grand Am 2002, and i decided to change a stock stereo system(i had a standard one, not monsoon) anyways, i bought a Pioneer deh-2100ib. I know that theres something wrong with Pontiacs, so i had to run a wire to power up my HU. I got an add a fuse thingie, tapped into wipers fuse, ran a wire and it won't turn on. I am tired and confused, so please help me, wtf am i doing wrong?? just to make sure, which wires am i supposed to connect? i tried hooking it up to red(acc) it didn't work, so i tried yellow one(battery +) and still no power... btw wipers worked...
