help with 4th order for 16 12's

externals ended up being 36.5 wide 33 tall 61 depth

bracing is 1 1/4" dowels

top went on

primer

hit 70k miles!!!! wohooo

mounting the subs was an absolute pain in the ***. did it after lifting weights too T_T

very back of the box is roughly 6 inches wide

port size was supposed to be 19x19 but i noticed that the port would cut off the front sections of the box so i had to shrink it down. ended up being 31.5 x 7.5. winisd tells me that's 45 hz tuning. port velocity/vent mach/whatever it's called .04

removable so I can actually tweak with the box instead of having to build a new one if I eff it up.

subs were mounted before the box went in. loading it into the car should not be a one man job...

baffles were flexing so this was done. 1 1/4" dowels.

it's quite windy at the port. now i need to go find some girl to stand at the window for me. vids will come when its not 15 degrees windy as fack and snowing.

short sloppy lil vid. car idles at 600 and voltage doesn't like full tilt so i didn't go too hard on it.



i'll get some better ones up soon.

*edit - i don't think my sunroof is very happy, thing is going crazy when volume is cranked.

very happy with it. need to get my mids/highs in and give sealing the sides a shot. btw i missed the updates on your tunnel and the thread is gone, what happened with it? if you don't mind me asking.

what is the voltage like at the amps? i notice you are having issues in the 12v range. is that a head-unit cut-out? you really should be able to drag down to bursts of 10.5v, as long as it's not clipping out bad before then, imo...... but i don't know how it's set up, so......

the meter is at the amp. the voltage thing is mostly at idle because my car idles at around 600. head unit cut out? not sure what you mean by that but it's a double din. i have a 270xp, d3100 under the hood and two more right by the front of the box. I always keep an eye on the voltage and don't let it drop under 12. not much experience with car audio so I try to take care as not to kill any of my equipment.

also all 16 subs are wired to the one amp @ .5 hopefully i'll be able to pick up another one when i have the money and do two 3500 @ 1 ohm.

quick update. I met with a smd member for a while today. think he liked the system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif one thing i changed was the subsonic was set at around 34-35. i changed to around 30 and holyyyyy hellll did it make a huge difference. I'll be going home sometime soon so i'll be able to get some better quality videos with my camera instead of my phone.
