help with 3ohm jl w7 and memphis mojo 2000d

i have a jl w7 12 that is 3 ohm single voice coil, to my understanding. i have a memphis mojo 2000d amp to power it. i know the amp is over kill but im not positive if it is safe to run it on the w7 because of the irregular impedance of the sub? im told the amp pushes 2400 rms at 2ohms? maybe? i figured id run it about half steam on the sub and it should be fine:crap: but im just worried about the ohms? im not too familiar with ohms and how to run this w7. any help would be greatly appreciated

ok so the w7 is single voice coil so you wire it strait to amp meaning:

+ on sub to + on amp

- on sub to - on amp

As for power, I think you will be just fine. The W7 will love that much power.

hope this helps

thanks bro. but i was wondering if the amp is stable at 4 ohms down to 2 ohms will the 3 ohm w7 make the amp react funny? im not familiar with impedances and i dont want to damage anything.
