Help wiring two kicker compR's to amp

My brother just bought two dvc 4 ohm kicker compR subs and he wants to wire them to 1 ohm to his mono amp, normally I would know how to wire it but these subs have a impedance switch.

I've never had subs with a switch before, can we still wire these to 1 ohm?

I'm used to there always being 4 terminals and you use wire jumpers, so how can we wire these to 1ohm if its possible?

Yes one set of terminals the switch is between 2 and 8 for the Dual 4 ohm sub and 1 and 4 for the dual 2 ohm sub. He has the dual 4 ohm should he have gotten the dual 2ohm?
Nah hes right, switch the switches to 2 ohms and wire postive terminal to positive terminal to amp and negative terminal to negative terminal to amp. I believe it makes the vc act as a single voice coil, but you can still get the same wiring configurations this way as you can with a dual 4 ohm vc.

Ok thanks! Will running only one vc damage the woofer in any way?

Firstly, I wasnt sure, hence the word "believe"
Secondly, you seriously posted some helpful info in here, thanks for that.
This is why it's the blnd leading the blind, you think that a selector makes a woofer change it's physical parts from a single voice coil to a dual voice coil. The OP being blind saying he knows how to hook up subs yet didn't even read the manual. Just knowing a dual 4 ohm voice coil can be connect as either an 8 ohm load or 2 ohm load is enough info realize that the switch indicates a series or parallel connection of the 2 voice coils.
