Help wiring subswith 8 terminals

i got 2 separate terminals on my box im puttin them in
Well with 2 QVC's you have these options: 4 ohm QVC: 0.50 ohm, 2 ohms, 8 ohms, 32 ohms

Seems as how I doubt your amp is .5 stable, use 2ohms

Don't use both terminals on the box IMO use one

I agree, I've never heard of a "DVC Sub with 8 terminals" for ease of wiring, that'd be stupid.

By your logic DVC's are stupid because they're "harder to wire than SVC" so why doesnt everyone use SVC's?

That I would understand since its hard to get so much wire in a terminal but have a QVC just cuz sounds completely pointless unless it could be wired at any ohm load...
You have a lot of options with them.. Not only that but old-school QVC's handle a lot of power IMO

I know they can be reconed into DVC's and from what SPLaudio tells me the benefits are negligible nowadays but he didn't post to say his QVC subs are pointless, just wanted help wiring them..

I dunno man it's hard to tell with 2 pictures a video would be easier, the picture I posted is easy, double the ohm loads since your subs are 4ohm instead of 2ohm, meaning the 1ohm wiring configuration in the link I posted would be 2ohm
ill up a video give me one second

I pretty much need to use both terminals because idk how i could drill a whole in my box.

Blah blah blah...

Stop all the hypothetical. Try a little googling and you'll find the AW1000Q is a DVC 4-ohm sub. Wire it like I told you to in the 3rd post of this thread. Your amp is only stable to 4 ohms bridged, 500w output. If you wire them to 1-ohm bridged you're probably going to fry your amp.

Probably no Id say definitely! hahaha

Ok I need to find a Allen wrench to re wire these things but could you tell me what ohm load there wired at right now? I have pics and videos.........

Looks to me that, in the video, that 1 sub is wired to 2 ohms.

IMO the easiest way to wire them is to wire each sub in series to achieve 8 ohms each, then wire them in parallel to get 4 ohms at the amp. To do this, you simply have to reverse the positive and negative wires at the terminal in this picture:

Then you can take both positive from each sub to the postiive on the amp, and both negative from each sub to the negative on the amp.

Edit: To confirm you have them wired correctly you can measure the resistance with a Digital Multimeter (DMM) before hooking everything up.

I dont own a DDM but its time to invest in one lol thanks for the help btw i didnt switch them but they were wired at 2 ohms

I just never seen a sub like that before hope there decent subs it says they were made in califorina !
