Help Wiring Computer to car sterio

Well i got my carputer its pertty sweet. anyways i want to wire it into my sterio so that i can play my mp3s through my system. what would be the best way of doing this? someone suggested a Fm modulator. but id like to explore other options. The carputer is just like a regular home pc pretty much. it has same standard jacks for speakers or headphones in the back and all that good stuff.

i was thinking that as well. i just put my sterio on puase and the computer plays through ive done that with a laptop before but wasnt sure if it was the best to do. but the only spot to put it would be hooked to the rear output rcas as the sub and other rca will be set to amps. will that matter at all or will the whole system play as normal?

you need to hook it up through input jacks on your HU.......output of carputer, input of HU

Well, aren't you wise. You asked for help and in order for us to help you we need to know what's in your dash. If I knew what kind of head unit you had, I'd be able to tell you the easiest way to get audio "into" it. Cause I only want you to use an FM mod if it's absolutely necessary. Second, some of these other guys that are replying to your post are telling u to just hook up a mini to RCA jack to it and you'll be fine. Well, you won't be fine if your deck doesn't have an input.

Sheesh, next time YOU ask for help don't cop an attitude.

Output of computer goes into 1/8"stereo to 2xRca output, Rca's go into auxillary input on headunit. Switch headunit to Aux mode, and have a nice day!
