HELP Wiring 40 10's!!!!!!!

X2 haha. We need help asap. We only have a week and allot of work still left to do! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif
What??? I'm not good with math //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Can you add more woofers, out of curiousity, or only decrease in amount?

SVC - - - 4 woofers = 1ohm or 4ohms...k? K.

So, 4 svc = 4ohms, then 4x that would be 1ohm

16 of them @ 1ohm strapped 3000D's or just go ahead and do 20 strapped and pray imp rise helps some??

sounds like somebody is going to Autorama //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wish i could come down, too lazy to make the drive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

this would work for 16 woofers on each pair, but only 4 ohms

4 + 4 + 4 + 4 in series = 16ohms

4 + 4 + 4 + 4 in series = 16ohms

4 + 4 + 4 + 4 in series = 16ohms

4 + 4 + 4 + 4 in series = 16ohms

16 + 16 in parallel = 8 ohms

16 + 16 in parallel = 8 ohms

8 + 8 in parallel = 4 ohms final load.

OR you could do this with 22 woofers each;

4 + 4 in parallel = 2 ohms

4 + 4 in parallel = 2 ohms

4 + 4 in parallel = 2 ohms

4 + 4 in parallel = 2 ohms

4 + 4 in parallel = 2 ohms

4 + 4 in parallel = 2 ohms

4 + 4 in parallel = 2 ohms

4 + 4 in parallel = 2 ohms

4 + 4 in parallel = 2 ohms

4 + 4 in parallel = 2 ohms

4 + 4 in parallel = 2 ohms

2 + 2 in parallel = 1 ohms

2 + 2 in parallel = 1 ohms

2 + 2 in parallel = 1 ohms

2 + 2 in parallel = 1 ohms

2 + 2 in parallel = 1 ohms

2 + 2 in parallel = 1 ohms

1 + 1 + 1 = 3 ohms in series

1 + 1 + 1 = 3 ohms in series

3 + 3 in parallel = 1.5 ohms final load

thats about the best you are gonna get with 4 svc. there might be more ways to do it though. series = double the impedance - and parallel means half the impedance. basically with series, its like taking 4 woofers and hooking the + to the - on the next one until there is a + on the first one open, and a - on the last one open, and that goes to your amp. parallel is where each + and - for each speaker goes to the amp terminals. you can combine the two types and make all kinds of combinations.

Ummm I hope you don't have a lot of friends on here because I am going to be moderately blunt... You have no business doing a system with 40 10's if you dont' understand something as basic as wiring speakers to a certian ohm load. I just hate when people have too much money to spend. how about educating yourself on something as simple as wiring up a subwoofer. And once you understand that then take a certain number of subwoofers and figure out the math behind it. Like lets take sets of 3 in series for 12 ohms. So the most you could do with number of woofers is 18. So do the 6 circuits in parallel after that . So 6 sets of 3 per pair of amps. so when you do parallel on the 6 trios means you would take 12 divided by 6 6.... HA CRAP there 2 ohms right there. The best way to get 2 ohms out of each strapped pair is 6 sets of 3.. ha I swear that was luck to get it on first try
