Help! what are my options?

Hello all, my current setup is very simple.

10" JL W3v3, powerwedge enclosure

Eclipse XA1000 (mono amp)

EFX 4 guage wires

6 bose speakers, 2 kenwoods

car is an S4.

Simply put, my amp sucks. It's rated at 325rms at full tilt, and I'd be hardpressed if it even made that. When I had my amplifier settings very modest, it would still clip. Pulled it out, thought about redoing it, and was convinced by an audio tech that it would be a waste to ditch my current woofer.

So, i think im gonna try and just upgrade the amplifier and see what happens. Since ive taken out my system, I replaced my car battery that shitted out on me for a top of the line interstate battery, hoping that will help somewhat in the future as well.

So, what are my options? I know a JL 500/1 would be ideal, but I dont have that kind of money do drop, especially after I got burned out of $260 on my Eclipse amp!

i would look for a 2 chan you can bridge to get 500@4 ohms.

Im very confused by this theory. I dont know a lot about audio in general, could you enlighten me please? Thanks and please bare with me!

I just got one of these for powering my PG RSD10 which has about the same power requirements, it should be plenty powerful,

leastbay, so, youre using a 200 watt rms amplifier to power a 500rms subwoofer?

yeah thats what im using my bad I read your post wrong, I have it turned up about 1/4 the way and its still pretty loud guess I dont like as much bass as some fols it does sound great though, there is a zx750.1 on that website for like 179 I think if you need more power
