Hi, need some help

Have a F150 with Sony factory system

I already upgraded the Sub Amp and custom box/ w-Sundown Woofer.

Wanting to find a good replacement for the factory speakers, will not be amplifing them.

just power from factory HU.

JBL/Infinity/Polk/etc..

is it worth changing ?

no, The factory amp's built in crappy EQ curve and agressive high pass filter is there and you cant get rid of it. Its there because its compensating for ****** factory speakers. Now all your aftermarket equipment is subjected to that.

What that means is, there is a VERY good chance any aftermarket replacement will sound like garbage compared to stock.

Ugh...factory HU. Jeff here despises those....and once again, I cannot disagree with him.

This issue is a clean signal to your speakers. Most people don't realize the garbage signal by using a LOC instead of just simply replacing the HU. Think of it as the HU being the brains of the system. Then aftermarket amp(s) then speakers. Once HU is swapped out, get a small 4 ch amp to power the spkrs.....will sound 10000X better than factory.

Hi, thanks

with the Nav/Bluetooth and other factory settings. changing HU isn't feasible for me at this time.

I already upgraded the Bass( Amp and Custom sub ) and it make a huge improvement. just thought if it would be worth changing the speakers or just leave it.

for the Sub there was a factory sub, I removed it added a 500W D ( Alpine amp ) to a 10" Sundown sub in a sealed custom box.

^ I know , they(Ford) could have did a better job.

Mazda Bose and other systems from the factory are soo much better.

Jeep-Alpine is Worse

luckily the factory sub I removed, and the signal coming from the HU doesn't reduce the signal as I turn up the volume

Few local stereo stores said i would get an improvement with just changing speakers out

( if I don't plan on adding an amp ) to stay basic;

and pick one of these;

Memphis PRX57

Infinity 682.11CF

or even Polk DB572
