Help w/ Pioneer 5100UB

I have a 8gig USB drive plugged in the front, and when i press random, nothing seems to happen. It says "Random on" but when i click next it just gives me the next song.. This is worthless.. Has anybody figured a way to get a true random through all folders with these pioneer decks?

Also if i listen to the whole song, then it will give me a totally random song after.. Is there a way to execute the random without listening all the way through.

My Pioneer HU does the same thing with CD's. On random, if you click "forward" or "back", it gives you the very next track on the disc. But, if you just let the song play through, it will pick a random song to play next.

Yeah, it is pretty annoying. Has anybody found a way around this?
