Help W/ design on a cylinder

Area of a circle is pi*r^2Volume of a cylinder is area of circle * length

Make units all the same for ease of calculation:

1 cubic foot = 1728 in

r=7in (half of diameter)

Therefore, A=pi*7^2= 154 in^2

If you already know the volume you want then the equation you use to find length (L) is:

Volume=A*L

1728in^3=154 in^2 *L

1728/154= 11.2

11.2 in

I know it was already answered. Just thought you'd like to see how this is done.
x2

pi*r^2 *length. i actually remember learning this formula in 7th grade pre-algebra
