Help!: Two 15" L7 square kickers..

I have two 15" L7 kickers, 4 ohm 2000 watts max on each supposedly, and 500- 1000 rms to each. I have a Lanzar Vibe 266 with 2000 watts max two channel that can supposedly pump 500 rms at 4 ohms, or 800 watts x 2 channels at 2 ohms.

Which would be the best to go, 500 watts rms? or should I go with the 800?..

I'm new to this type of thing and that is why I ask such a stupid question perhaps. I would also like to ask what kind of capacitor I should have with this, would a 1 farad work for now?..

What do you mean upgrade the 3? Upgrade to 3 farad???..Sorry heh.

I'm also searching for some good cable as well because the current one blew its fuse when I tried to plug the 2000 watt in to my audiobahns..

Replace the cap with a 2nd battery.

Again, the cap is what?...I don't get it...just attach a second batter in my trunk and it should be fine, capacitors don't work? I'm not sure how good these speakers are really, I just did a little research etc.

I'm kind of a newbie here, I understand a little bit of basics but I've never had power exceed my car's limits to where I needed more power from another battery or a capacitor.

the cap is basically a band aid. It stores a charge from the battery to help power the amp during strong hits. Also to put less strain on the electrical system and help against dimming lights. Better off upgrading your cars alternator, and adding a 2nd battery

A capacitor(=cap) will only put more strain on your electrical system and won't help power your system along with your car properly. If you put a second battery in your trunk to run your system you dont have to worry about your car's lights dimming or any other symptoms of not a beefy enough elecrical. Go to a TRUSTED local car audio shop and they'll explain it to you.

Alright, thank you very much.

An extra battery would run around what, 100 bucks or so? I'm not looking for an ultra strong one, one from wal-mart would work yes?

The best way to hook it up is to? Run new wires from the first battery or can I incorporate it using the power wire normally made to go directly to the amp. I have no car audio places within, 100 miles. No joke. Heh.

optima/kinetic/stinger are good batteries. I wouldn't have one of those walmart batteries in the back of my trunk becausetheir leadacid.
