Help...system isnt working

I just installed 2 amps (old jbl 4 channel, and an interfire 900watt 2 channel) and a new deck (pioneer deh-p4100) into my beater trail rig. I got everything hooked up and if i turn it up the sub starts fluttering really loudly, the front stage will kick on and of with a loud hiss. at low volumes the sub works but the front stage doesnt, the amp does work, it was working fine prior to hooking up sub amp. can you guys point me in the right direction?
