The box sounds good. But what box to you suggest I get? I have it in a 2001 Chevy Silverado extended cab under the back seats.

Sae line is Chinese built, not Korean like saz/sax/scv lines.

Had the exact same problem with my sae-1200d within a month after I got it(bnib). I had no problems the whole time I had my PPI p1000.1, and I regretted the swap.
I was ready to throw the thing in the trash when I took it apart and saw the build quality.





Check and see if this little wire(ground?) is burned up like mine was.

The old SAE-1200D v.1 & v.2 models were made at a different factory that we no longer use. They couldn't get QC and build quality up to par for us.

The new SAE lineup has been extremely reliable all-in-all for us with much better quality than the SAE-1200D factory.

Definitely has been taken care of, not sure what made everything get all crusty like that.
