Hello Everyone, I am new here. hopefully someone can help me here. This is what I have so far

2003 Honda Civic

Installed:

***********

Pioneer DEH-P6000UB MP3 Deck

Infinity Kappa 6012i - 2 Front Speakers

Factory Rear Speakers

2 Subs - Infinity Kappa 10" Car Subwoofer (102.7W)

1 Amp for Sub - MTX 1-Channel Car Amplifier (X500D)

Purchased but will install soon:

*************************************

4 Channel Amp - MTX Thunder TC4004

Stinger 8ga 600W Complete Amplifier wiring kit

First Question:

*****************

For my 4 channel, should I use 8ga or 4ga wiring kit?

2nd Question:

****************

1. Infinity Kappa 6 1/2" 2-Way Speaker (62.9I)

2. Infinity Reference 6 1/2" 2-Way Component Speakers (6020CS)

Which speakers are better in comparison? Which would be a better fit for my audio system? Anyone who can answer this please.

3rd Question:

***************

1. Dynamat Trunk Kit (19405)

2. Dynamat License Plate Sound Deadening Kit (19100)

Should I get both of the above or just the trunk kit? I am thinking to buy both. Would I need dynamat door kit as well if I get these 2 ?

4th Question:

***************

I also have 2 spare dynamats for speakers already. They are about 4 years old but I never used them. Can I still use these dynamats? If I can, Should I use these for my front speakers or rear speakers?

5th Question:

***************

Should I get speaker baffles as well ? If so, which ones are good to buy?

Conclusion:

*************

I expect a LOUD, CLEAR GOOD QUALITY sound out of my system. I would rather pay extra to get something that's worth keeping. Please advise me in details. I hope there are some experts here who can tell me specifically what I need to have a COMPLETE GOOD QUALITY AUDIO SYSTEM. Please recommend any models or brands or any other accessories that may help my car audio system. I would really appreciate it.

THANK YOU SO MUCH

Rey

1-8ga should work but if you can get your hands on 4 ga go for it

2-i hear many different things about the kappa series...some prefer the reference and find it has much livable warmer highs then the ear piercing you get from the kappas...overall it comes down to you listen if you can and compare both series

3-you dont really need license plate sound deadening kit lol

4-yupp go for it...use it for the fronts you are more likely to hear the difference

also it will serve you more good to isolate road noise and what not...the rear speakers

aren't mounted on the doors (as far as i know) so why waste the dynamat?

5-baffles aren't really necessary unless your switching speaker size...im hinting you wanna go with 6.5s inthe back as well?

conclusion : i have a feeling you're shopping off the best buy or circuit city brochure

it's not a bad start you are pulling out some decent equipement but i recommend you also

look at local car audio shops...you will be getting superior products for about the same price:D

good luck!

i would personally do 6x9s

haha just booked you're from toronto too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

good stuff !

I would get the reference speakers.

I personally have not heard the kappas. Had the opportunity once but didnt bother. I hear that their tweeters can be a bit harsh.

How do you like your dual sub configuration?

I have the same sub as you. Except mine is the 104.7w. Ive been thinking about getting another.
