im runnin a phoenix gold rsd1200.1 thats pushin 2 10" kicker cvxs in a sealed box. does anyone know what frequencies i should use to tune my subsonic filter and frequency selector to? like which one to use for the low bass and high bass or whatever... hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.. thanks a lot.

p.s. i also like to listen to the occasional rap songs as well.

For sealed box you don't need to worry bout the subsonic, either turn it off or as low as you can. Low pass for the subs shall be around 75 +/- 15 Hz, it just depend where you set your mids at. Play around to find your sweet spot.

alright cool... i'll try that. but what do you mean i dont have to worry about the subsonic filter? if the subs tried to play something lower than they could handle. wouldnt it sort of throw it out of whack?

subsonic filter was made mainly for ported box because of the tuning frequency. Playing lower than the tuning frequency is what damage the sub, therefore you use the subsonic to filter out frequency below the tunning frequency. Tuning freq. doesn't apply to sealed enclosure.

Yea i knew that but i figured that if the sub couldnt handle say less than 34Hz and it tried to hit a 20Hz note wouldn't it be pretty much pointless. but yea i'm sure ur right. ill play around between 60 and 100 or so and see what sounds best. thanks a lot
