I don't know how the tweeters could possibly drown out the midbass- these mids are very abundant in the midbass region.

The tweeters are a tad harsh when you give them more then 75wrms from my findings. Sound rather well when you tame them down and give em a little less power.

For $150, you can't go wrong with this set. I wrote a review on them a while back comparing them to the CDT CL-61's (which are $150 as well), and the RE set>CDT set.
