HELP ! Resonant Engineering Comp RMS

i got an alpine MRPF240 amp which does 40 X 4 @ 4ohm . i am in the process of buying Re series comp set. which is rated as 50 wrms. Is it ok to power them 40 wrms? would i be loosing SQ or loudness or would it not matter much? or should i bridge 2 channels and power them 100 wrms each?

THey will do fine off of 40 rms. These comps cant take that much power anyway. Dont bridge your amp for these, you will lose your Stereo effect

RE RE comps are known for harsh tweets. If you can ever get a hold of the Aura Tweeters floating around here, they are appearantly a perfect match to the mids without any work on the crossover.
