help request for no sound

trying to find help as to what to look for or try

I have older Alpine CDA-7893 MX/ AM-FM radio/ CD player and today when using vehicle

absolutely no sound. NO static no music no nothing. All displays show as normal - getting read on display panel same as before as signal being received - worked fine up to today . Bought vehicle

used and worked perfectly for past 3 years until today . Any suggestions as to what to look

for that would cause this ?

are your speakers hooked up to the HU or a separate amp? i used electrical tape to connect up my wires and that happened to me one day, turns out the factory amp turn on had just came loose.

Have to try to reconnect making sure you have everything intact and if it still dosen't work and its not on mute then it's probably blown

that's what I'm afraid of - it's in a F-250 P/U that I hardly use and was fine when I used it last week.

Came home parked it and all was well. got in it today and nothing - didn't touch anything from last useage . Will have to try to pull the whole underdash out to get at wiring to ck connections.
