Help! Protection mode coming on and off Help!

I have a OV2-1200 Power Acoustik Amp and its wired in with 4 gauge wiring and its powering 2 12" audiobahns. My protection light keeps coming on and i have no sound, then it will kick back on and ill be bumping again. I believe its my ground wire and it might not be getting a proper ground. I was thinking about buying Kicker 4 Gauge wiring instead because i believe it would be a better quality. any ideas about how i can fix my amp to where it wont switch on and off?

check your connections make sure they are tight..just sounds like a loose wire to me..ground/power/remote/battery/dist block/fuse block to start with

Good advice. Also check the wiring on your subs....not making contact with anything or that they are not wired at too low a load.

All my wires are secure, i bought those subs from a friend and i don't know the model # number or anything. It could be something inside the sub enclosure. The amp just turns on and turns off repeatedly. Im thinking about taking off the amp cover to see underneath it to see if anything is messed up. Any ideas?

Just took apart sub box and all wires appear to fine inside. I also ran my amp without them connected and the amp didn't turn on or off. Im stumped.

Check your sub wiring configuration,make sure the amp is able to handle the load/stable @http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp This will help you out on the sub wiring properly..You could be dropping that amp down to a load that its not able to stabalize @..Check sub wiring
