help please with amp specs

it appears to be common to a few manufacturers these days... esp. if you can run less than a 2 ohm load. If you have 2 4ohm drivers and wired one to each output, your amp will see a 2ohm load in mono...if just one output is used, make sure it doesn't see less that 2ohms on that amp. now here is the kicker, say you have a 4+4 DVC driver...which output will you use? confused yet?...six in one, a half dozen in the other.

 
im sorry im confused. so with my sub rated at 2 ohms it will get 360rms even though its only going to be connected into one of the two terminals on the amp?
