Help plan a system for my LS7 ***** Am

Hey guys im building a 2001 ***** Am with a 454 LS7. ~650WHP
Its my daily driver/ show car/ track car

Im looking for a high quality system.

I will be keeping my stock HU. i like the stock look.

So ive been reading all night.

I guess i need to get a LOC. 4ch? 2ch?

then i want a 4ch amp ~600 RMS

to power my (2) 6.5" subs

and my (2) 6.5 components w/ 3/4" tweeters

then i want a 10" sub w/ a mono amp

Then entire car is sound deadened w/ 180sq ft. of 60mil and 6 yards of ensolite.

Im looking for a really clear and loud system.

Id also like to hook up a 12 disc CD changer and my ipod.

tough to realistically accomplish all 3 with one vehicle. any pics of the car??

indeed, its pretty unrealistic to try and accomplish daily driver and either of those together:crazy:

Eh, you can always aim for the median between them though. It can be decent in all of them, but not excel. The show car portion will the one shorted the most though, it'll suffer a bit, but it is definitely possible to make a daily driver look good.

Sure, you can have a mediocre looking car at the show, that you drive every day, and wash/detail every night. The track portion I'll ignore because Im not even sure which type of track it is. But it will certainly make the wash and detail session that much longer and difficult that night. Dating is out, unless she really likes detailing cars.

Track car and show car make a terrible mix. That crap that sticks to the paint and rear bumper when you do a burnout is next to impossible to remove!

Audio system and track car also make a horrible mix, unless you make the sound system removable. Also, you will have to put up with increased noise from the exhaust, headers, and intake. Any sound deadening and/or noise barrier will be counter productive as it will add additional weight to the mix. Lots of luck with this one!

Well its weird... but im not throwing out unrealistic goals... I expect a lot out of my cars...

That was back when i had the STS turbo on it.

Track car...

By the end of the year(time for tuning suspension) ill be running 9.90's in the quarter mile.

I dont have any pics of the engine currently... as i ordered the shortblock a month ago and i wont have it for a month or so.

Engine will look purely like an LS7 crate....:grin: on the outside. just instead of 505 FWHP... ill have ~750 FWHP

With enough power... the increase in weight is neglible.
