Help picking out an amp

Hi, I am looking to purchase an amp for a set of speaker and a sub that I recently got. I have been looking on ebay for one and am just wondering why some amps are so **** cheap.

Is something like this just a crap product or can I actually get a decent amp for $30.

Also it seems like all pyramid amps are always mad cheap. I am looking for a 4channel 400W amp if someone could give me some pointers as to what is good to look for. I am planning on briding two of the channels to my 10" 200W (rms) sub, and then sending the 3rd and 4th channel to my 2 speakrs rated at 75 watts (i think)

well you should do a brand name 4 channel something along the lines of AudioPipe, Power Acoustik are cheaper of those...Pyramid is garbage. and you would wanna run your speakers off the front channels and bridge the rear channels for the sub.

Ok, thanks! Ive found a few amps that seem like they may do the trick but I have a few questions about how my setup will work.

I know this is a weak system but it was practically given to me and the stock system in my car is complete garbage so this will actually be a upgrade for me.

I have a set of sony speakers rated at 55W RMS each (170W) max

The sub is a MTX Thunder 4000 rated at 200W RMS

If I get a 4 X 100W amp, and send 2 channels to the sub, and then send 100W to each speaker, is that too much and will I blow the speakers? Should I downsize the amp to match the speakers or just get a 400W amp and be careful not to crank it too much and blow the speakers.

Thanks for the help!

u dont want that thing. and also, your going to want a 4 channel amp for your highs (speakers) and a 2 channel amp )you will bridge it with one sub) or a 1 channel amp for your sub. if you only want one amp to run then u should get a 5 channel amp. one channel is meant for your sub and the other 4 are meant for your speakers.
