Help picking out an amp for 0-300 watt class

Well my new an up and comming system will be a single Soundstream SPL160 15(the sh!t) but I'm trying to find a great amplifier to run it at 2 ohm mono. The sub is d4 and rated at 800rms but can take double that and still sound sweet. If some of you that don't know what sub I'm talking about then you need to go out and find someone that has one or more and listen to it. Anyways back on the subject. I wish I could put two 15's in my trunk but I just don't see it happening but then there would be plenty of amps to choose. So far the only amp I have selected would be a soundstream 702 and that would keep me in the 0-300w class. Remember the amp doesn't have to be made by soundstream, I would just prefer it to be.

It's a SPL170? Never heard of a SPL160. So your going to just use 300watts? Really your need a Rubi 1002 to get the most out of it, guess that would mess up your class.

An SPL160 is like the 170. Both are rated at 800rms anre are dual 4 ohm. The rubicon 702 will still keep me in the 0-300 watt class because it's rated at 150 x 2 at 4 ohm = 300 watts at 4 ohm.

Each DD M1 is rated at 150 watts at 4 ohm and 600 watts at 1 ohm but strapping two together will give me 1200 watts at 2 ohm still keeping me in the 0-300 watt class. 150 watts per DDM1 x 2 = 300 watts at 4 ohm. I would like to go this route but it'll cost me far more than a single rubicon 702.

I was not aware that Usaci(if that what org your competing with) still had the 0-300watt classes. I was under the impression they took them out and put in street beat instead.

I know as of April 29th they still had the 0-300w class. I know because I won first place.

The rating and classes are for what an amp does at 4 ohms

I just looked on the usaci site and it does not have anything with the 0-300 watt stock classes anymore. Instead it was replaced by street beat. If its just some local show its now like it really matters anyways.
