help picking 3 way active components.

The Revs are wasted in a 3-way. There's no point in paying $150-200 for a speaker that uses only a fraction of it's usable bandwidth. There are plenty of cheaper drivers out there that can perform alongside the Revs for a fraction of the price with the bandwidth you're talking about. The Seas Prestige series drivers come to mind as having great midbass.
I agree completly about them being a waste in a 3 way setup. However, you never know what I may want in a setup down the road. So, they will give me alot of versatility in the future. I think I got them at a very fair price, so I am happy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Now, I must decide on 4"-4.5" and a tweeter. I am leaning towards the 12M if I can find a deal on a pair. As for the tweeter, I am really not sure. Open to suggestions...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I don't feel the 18W is waste in a 3-way. They have great lowend and people have had very good results using the 18W and 12M in a 3-way. However, I do agree with MiniVanMan that there are other capable driver out there for less money that can handle the lowend duties.

I would also look at Hybrid. You can pick-up an 3-way matched set active for less than a full Scan is going to run you. Nothing wroung with Rainbow either. The Peerless is probably the most cost effective bang for the buck and they are as good as the more expensive stuff on the market.IMO

Just wanted to thank you guys for all the great info. The UPS man brought me a present today. Yeah.

Overlook the dust on the speakers.

Man I am so impressed with the build quality of the speakers. Hopefully in a week or so I will have the door panels done and get them installed. Now the quest for a pair of 12m at a great price starts.........

Is there any problem running these speakers free air with pink noise at low levels to break them in?
