Help pick new subs

Here is what I am choosing between. I am looking for SQ above anything else. I want a little bit of punch too but I assume all of these will blow my Sony Xplods out the window anyways. The subs list under $150 I may be able to afford two of. Whatever I end up with will be going in a sealed box. What should I choose?

I haven't heard it, but from what I understand, the DIYMA is a very good low distortion driver designed specifically for sealed enclosures. NPDang designed it off the Peerless XLS which in itself, is an awesome unit.

So yeah, without question, I would snag a DIYMA. For $120 its a no-brainer.

I think I'm going to end up getting 2 TC-1000s....I ended up finding them BNIB for $60 each so it seems like a no-brainer now. Thanks for all the advice.

Good choice, I'm sure you'll be happy. The TC2+ is a very good sealed box low power driver.

The guys who did the tests are some of the most knowledgeable people on the forum. They only tested it with 455w RMS, which is about 1/2 of the DIYMA's rated power handling IIRC, and it STILL fell short. Perhaps you should show some common sense.

Now, these issues may have been addressed without my knowledge. Best thing to do if considering the DIYMA woofer is to go over to their forum and PM npdang about it (I believe he designed it).
