help on big 3

ok, so i kno that ur suppose to connect one from the alt to the positive on the battery, one from the chassis to the negative on the battery, but what about the third wire??? some say that it's from the engine block to the chassis, and others say it's from the engine block to the negative on the battery.

Which one is it??? or can it be either one??? i would really appreciate the help

Either way is fine I suppose. I usually go chassis to block.

ok thanx, and is there like a positive and negative gauge wire i have to use, or are they all the same??

Wire is wire. Use the same gauge for both pos and neg. Preferably 0g, but 4 will work if you're not running a lot of power/no high output alternator
