I'm looking for a little direction on doing a cheap diy set for my covered porch. Its screened and covered but still 'open to the elements.' Theyll be powered by a Yamaha htr-5890 (140x7) and probably brought indoors in the winters so they may not have to be designed to survive rain, snow, etc. It doesn't necessarily have to be a DIY, but i am trying to stay on the cheap side (preferably under 200$ for a pair).
The speakers are going to be sitting about 7 feet high, so theyll be over the listener's head, probably pointed downwards
