Help on a 2001 Chevy Malibu V6 (Seafoaming)(Fluids) ETC

My younger cousin bought a 2001 Chevy Malibu LS as his first car for $5000.00 it's in great condition and even came with chrome 18" rims and 2 MA Audio 12's. It's a really nice car. Anyway it has 68,600 miles on it and we want to keep it running as well as it does and maybe revive it a little more.

What things can we do to the engine / car to get it performing even better than it is. He wants to change all his fluids to Royal Purple products, seafoam it, new spark plugs / wires / new serpitine belt, K&N filter... basically wants to redo the motor I don't know why, he's just a gear head like that. anything else we can do or missed?

To me it seems like he is on the right track. When ever I pick up a car I do just about the same thing s he is doing. I also check the brake pads rotors, fuel filter, and anti-freeze. I like to change almost everything because that way I know that certain things were done.

Get the LIM fixed if it hasn't been already, change the DexCool to green antifreeze, tell him to use only AC Delco plugs, the engine will hate anything else, especially Bosch products. Check the hubs, especially in front, and drain the ****** and put a new filter and fluid in, no flush for those trannys since it'll hurt them. If the blinkers start going crazy everytime the wheel is moved, he needs a new multi-function switch. For info he can go to http://www.60degreev6.com, or http://www.gaownersclub.com, same engine.

get orig. plugs that were put in the car... my monte hated every other kind of spark plug.. i think they are like 7-8 bucks.. but you gotta have them.
